Blog Post #14 Gantt Chart

This Gantt chart was created to help me design my production efficiently. December 16 to January 17 was used to research the genre my opening sequence falls under. I spent this time to study other professional products such as the Conjuring, Insidious, and Le Manoir du Diable. I studied sound, cinematography, and mise en scene techniques commonly used in horror films so I could have a deeper understanding of these techniques.

January 17 to February 4 will be utilized to plan for my production. Things such as storyboards, auditions, and practice shots will be done during this period of time. This will help me prepare and practice for the upcoming filming that will occur. Practice shots will tell me what techniques and ideas work and what do not, storyboards will help collect all of my ideas and thoughts, and auditions will help me choose the best actor to portray my characters that have been created.

The Filming process will span from February 4 to February 21. During this time I will be filming the shots that make up my opening scene. This calls for re-doing shots, adjusting settings, and altering costumes throughout filming.

Finally, February 21 to March 3 will be used to edit the footage that I have produced. Things such as foley sounds, scores, and ambient sound must be edited in. Editing such as jump cuts and action matches must be added during this time frame. My final cut will then be ready to be uploaded.
