Creating the script is a crucial part of the planning period when producing a film. Producers must understand a characters personality heavily to make sure their lines match their personality. For instance, if there was a depressed teenage girl, the producer would not make her say something peppy and joyous. My opening sequence will not acquire much dialogue. However, these are some of my initial script ideas.
WOODS:
SCARY CHARACTER
{says whilst laughing}
ALYSSA...ALYSSAAAAA. THERES NO NEED TO RUN NOW
ALYSSA
{says with a trembly voice}
WHO ARE YOU!?
{heavy breathing}
GO AWAY! PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE! WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?
SCARY CHARACTER
{laughing}
The scary character is presented as a haunted creature. Therefore, her dialogue is very ominous. She is heard laughing whilst luring Alyssa in. Alyssa is a peppy teenage girl who has never encountered such danger. This led to me giving her the lines above. These lines hint that she is in a state of terror. Alyssa does not know what to do in this situation other than ask questions. This ideology will continue throughout the rest of my opening sequence. The dialogue that the scary girl is given will be very eerie whilst Alyssas lines will be heard as shaky. Creating the dialogue for my opening sequence is very important because it will help the audience understand and connect with the characters more in depth.
