CCR four was answered with a voice overed PowerPoint. This PowerPoint contains slides showcasing text version of my dialogue, footage from my sequence, and behind the scenes photos.
To start off, the visuals of my PowerPoint allow audiences to connect my CCR with my production. In my CCR I utilized things such as eerie font, the colors red and black, and haunting images. These three things are also present throughout my blogs as well as in my opening scene. This similarity allows viewers to connect with my CCR the same way that they would connect with my final cut. This is important when trying to establish a theme.
The colors red and black were used due to typical horror conventions. We often interpret the color red with blood, danger, and evil. For this reason, red is used in horror films which is why I have chosen to use it throughout my CCR. The color black is often interpreted with mystery, death, and darkness. I used these conventions in my sequence therefore, I carried them over to my CCR.
The font used in this CCR appears scratchy or drippy. This is because scratchy fonts typically represent danger like a creature or evil presence. Drippy fonts are closely related because they create the idea of blood. The opening title sequence in my final cut is in a drippy/ scratchy font which is similar to the font used in CCR four.
The images used throughout allow viewers to understand my plot more. For example, the image of the scary girl on the swing closely relates to my sequence. This prepares audiences for the media they will be consuming. This correlates to David Hesmondhalgh's theory. He believed that humans have no connection with the media they consume because it's not intentional. Taking this into consideration, I decided to express what the content was going to be about early on in order to maximize the intentionality of media consumption in my viewers.
This CCR was the most successful and was able to communicate my integration of technology thoroughly.
